Socio-Economic Analysis
Population
There is a clear demographic trend in the direction of a youthful working population. This is shown by the total population under 30 almost 60% of the total population (2,829) in the Newham 37A area. This is shown by the figures (pictured left). This indicates that the regeneration of this area will impact future generations greatly, and displays need for public services e.g. education as well as a sufficient supply of employment opportunities for the incredibly high proportion (list percentage) of residents within the working age. The highest proportion of the population is those between 16-29 with 849 residents, compared to the lowest proportion, those 65+ with just 141 residents. There are no obvious anomalies in relation to population type, contrasted with other areas in Newham.
