HOW CAN WE ENSURE JOBS GO TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY?
The community hub will be run by locals from within the community and jobs can be advertised in the space. Furthermore, employment agents from Newham Council can work with the locals to ensure they are maximising their job opportunities. The good growth fund, a regeneration programme to support growth and community development in London, can be used to guarantee growth is in line with community needs.
TRAINING AND UPGRADING SKILLS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY
Silo-D can be used by the community for workshops and classes. Within the enterprise zone
apprenticeships will be offered, and there will be opportunities to progress within companies.
OPENING UP THE AREA FOR THE COMMUNITY
