Creating a space which the community can call there own and be proud of is vitally important to our vision for the Millenium Mills site. Silo D is a Grade II listed building located south of the Millenium Mills.

 

The structure will in our plan be maintained and a glass and steel extension added to the eastern edge that stretches out onto the water. The space, will have dynamic views of the Silo D and across the dock to the other side of the site, connecting all areas of the new development and providing the community with a sense of ownership. 

 

The event space inside and out with a semi-circle plaza will be a space for community activities, children and youth evenings, training workshops and much more. As well as providing information and history of the site as a former industrial area. The space will also provide an income with the option to hire out the multiple rooms.
