Under the hot sun of Brazil in April this year, myself and students of Oxford Brookes University studying a range of courses, from Urban Design & Architecture to Infrastructure development, put our skills to the test.

This year we worked in partnership with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro to develop urban design guidance for large scale social housing in Brazil. To ensure that not only housing numbers are met, but that they also deliver good places for its people.

I had a major role in the organisation of the BUDS 2019 study trip, after contacting RTPI South East I secured funding. After the visit I wrote an article for the RTPI South East Inperspective Newsletter. Follow the link below to see this article on page 12.
